Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Concerning Student
Assistance General Provisions; General Provisions for the Federal Perkins
Loan Program, Federal Work-Study Program, and Federal Supplemental Educational
Opportunity Grand Program; and Federal Pell Grant Program
The Department of Education (ED) recently released a notice of proposed rulemaking, dated August 3, 1999, concerning student eligibility for Title IV programs. The proposed regulations incorporate provisions contained in the recent reauthorization of the Higher Education Act (HEA). The proposed regulatory changes impact the following sections of 34 CFR:
