Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Concerning Federal
Family Education Loan Program and the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan
Program
The Department of Education (ED) recently released a notice of proposed rulemaking, dated August 10, 1999, concerning changes to the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) and the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program. The proposed regulations incorporate provisions contained in the recent reauthorization of the Higher Education Act (HEA).
