Accrediting Agencies Final Regulations
The Department of Education (ED) recently published a Federal Register, dated October 20, 1999, containing final regulation regarding ED's recognition of accrediting agencies. The regulations incorporate provisions contained in the recent reauthorization of the Higher Education Act (HEA). The regulatory changes impact the following sections of 34 CFR:
