Changes to ED Form 799-Lender's Interest and Special Allowance Request and Report

The Department of Education (ED) recently revised Form 799-Lender's Interest and Special Allowance Request and Report.  Lenders use Form 799 to submit loan information to ED on a quarterly basis.  Part I of the form was changed to include a Y2K update.  The form's instructions have also been clarified.

The new form is effective January 1, 2000 for the quarter ending December 1999.  Previous versions will not be accepted after April 1, 2000.  Any questions regarding Form 799 should be directed to ED's Lender Reporting Team at (202) 708-9776 or by e-mail at osfa lr@ed.gov.
