New Enrollment for Student Aid Internet Gateway

The Department of Education (ED) recently published a Dear Partner Letter, GEN-99-34, introducing a new enrollment document for the Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG).  The SAIG, a server-based mailbox application, replaces the TITLE IV Wide Area Network's mainframe-based store and forward mailboxing system. The new document will be used to enroll or to update enrollment information and may be used by institutions, third party servicers, software providers, lenders, and guaranty agencies.  The Dear Partner Letter provides additional information regarding the SAIG in a question and answer format.
