The U.S. Department of Education (ED) recently issued an Action Letter, GEN-00-13, regarding the 2001-2002 Renewal Free Application process for Federal Student Aid (Renewal FAFSA), providing specific information on the Renewal Application Destination (RAD) data request options available to schools and instructions for submitting a RAD request. This letter also contains eight enclosures that provide important information about the RAD request process and step-by-step instructions to schools who request electronic files and/or printed materials for the 2001-2001 Renewal FAFSA process.
