The Student Assistance General Provisions, the Federal Family Education Loan Program, and the Federal Pell Grant Program Final Regulations

    The U.S. Department of Education (ED) recently published a Federal Register, dated November 1, 2000, containing final regulations regarding cohort default rates in the Student Assistance General Provisions, the Federal Family Education Loan Program, and the Federal Pell Grant Program.  The regulations incorporate provisions contained in the recent reauthorization of the Higher Education Act (HEA).  The regulatory changes impact the following sections of 34 CFR:
