The U.S. Department of Education (ED) recently released a Notice of Proposed Information Collection Requests in a Federal Register concerning the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) that ED proposes to use for the 2002-2003 academic year. ED invites interested persons to submit comments on changes under consideration for the 2002-2003 FAFSA. A draft copy of the 2002-2003 FAFSA is available on ED's web site at http://ifap.ed.gov, by clicking on "Draft FAFSA Form/Instructions".
Comments regarding these proposed changes for the 2002-2003 FAFSA are due on or before February 2, 2001. Submissions should be sent to Ms. Vivian Reese, U.S. Department of Education, 400 Maryland Avenue, SW, Room 4050, Regional Office Building 3, Washington, D.C. 20202-4651. When making a submission, specify the complete title of the information collection request: "Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)".
