Dr. Mark H. Spencer Appointed Acting Executive Director of UHEAA

    Dr. Mark H. Spencer has been appointed as Acting Executive Director of UHEAA by Richard E. Kendall, Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of the Utah System of Higher Education.  Dr. Spencer will continue his present assignment as Associate Commissioner for Finance and Facilities.  He has agreed to assume responsibility for these two assignments during an interim period.

    Dr. Spencer joined the Utah System of Higher Education in 2002 as Associate Commissioner for Finance and Facilities.  He came to the System Office from Utah Valley State College, where he had been Chief Information Officer, Associate Vice President for Planning, and Dean of Learning Resources.  He worked previously at College of Eastern Utah, Ohio State University, and University of Utah, and held adjunct faculty positions at these institutions as well as Utah State University.  His doctoral work at Ohio State University included studies in Educational Administration and Public Finance.
