Return of Loan Funds

In response to recent questions concerning the return of loan funds the Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority (UHEAA) provides the following clarifications. When a school finds it necessary to return loan funds to UHEAA three main data items should be submitted along with the check or transmittal of such funds to assure proper accounting. Those items are:

  1. CommonLine Unique ID (or the borrower’s SSN and loan type)
  2. Amount
  3. Disbursement Date

Including the borrower’s name is optional. This information for each loan may be reported using current school systems and procedures. Alternatively, a school may use the attached Excel form.
