Passing of Jim Ginos

Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Jim Ginos.  Jim died on Saturday, August 25, 2007, after an intense and valiant battle with cancer.  As UHEAA’s chief operating officer Jim has been at the heart of UHEAA’s success, and his contributions over 19 years of service at UHEAA have been immeasurable.  Jim will be sorely missed.

Funeral services for Jim will be held on Friday, August 31, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Bountiful East Stake Center located at 2200 South 600 East in Bountiful, Utah.  A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, August 30, 2007, at the Russon Brothers Mortuary located at 295 North Main Street in Bountiful.  A viewing will also be held at the Stake Center prior to the services on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Condolences or contributions to Jim’s family can be submitted to Lindsay Mortensen at the UHEAA offices (see address below).

We at UHEAA are very grateful to have known and worked with Jim.  We mourn the passing of our friend and colleague, and join with the entire UHEAA community in extending our thoughts and prayers to Jim’s family at this time of profound loss.
