Secretary Proposes Regulations for TEACH Grants

Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority has become aware that the Secretary of Education proposes to establish regulations for the Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program.  Also proposed are amendments to related Title IV regulations needed to implement the TEACH Grant Program.

The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking is published in the Federal Register, Volume 73, No. 56, dated Friday, March 21, 2008.  Access to FSA’s announcement of the NPRM is found at http://ifap.ed.gov/fregisters/FR03212008TECH.html.  The link to a PDF file of the Federal Register can be found in the FSA posting.

Comments on the proposed rules are invited from the financial aid community, and must be received on or before April 21, 2008.
