Zions Bank to Discontinue FFELP Student Loans
Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority (UHEAA) has been notified by Zions Bank that it will be leaving the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP).
Effective March 31, 2008 Zions Bank no longer accepted new applications for FFELP Student Loans. Any current FFELP loans not fully disbursed will be funded by Zions Bank and disbursed as scheduled. Zions Bank’s last anticipated disbursement date will be November 16, 2008.
Students interested in requesting Zions Bank must select another lender. Those who choose to continue receiving UHEAA’s outstanding borrower benefits for new loans processed after March 31, 2008, may be provided with the names of participating UHEAA partner lenders. For a list of current partner lenders please refer to UHEAA’s Web site at: http://www.uheaa.org/schoolsLending02.html.
